What a special friend. Fifty-two years have gone by since we first met. It was the summer of 1966 and both of us were entering grade three at Montgomery Elementary School in Saskatoon. Fifty-Two years later all of our adventures are still fresh in my mind and I will always remember how they were spent with a very special friend. Even in years where hundreds and at times, thousands of miles separated us you were always in my mind and heart. Hubert H. Humphrey said:
“The greatest gift of life is friendship, and I have received it.”
Thank you Grant for our friendship, you will be greatly missed. I love you my friend, take care and talk to you later.
Cheers
Tim Ross

Our condolences on Grant's passing. I was fortunate to not only work for Grant and Shannon but they opened their home and were very good friends to Joe and I during our time in Prince Albert area. Grant had a way of making you think about things a little differently. His family and having fun was always a priority. Much love to the family and know we are thinking of you all.

Dear Shannon,Taryn and all family members......We honour those who die in battle by how we live. Grants battle with kidney disease, even at the last few days of his life, did not deter him from his work with THE ANGELS LEGACY PROJECT. Grant had personal connection with the words ORGAN DONORS ARE REAL ANGELS because he met his angel. We will honour his efforts and respect his wishes and in his memory and others who have died on an organ waiting list,we will continue the battle for life. May GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Prayers and hugs from the SWITENKY FAMILY

Doug and I are heartbroken to hear of your loss. I Met Grant many years ago in Montgomery Place while visiting with my cousin Leslie (and that whole wonderful Montgomery crew). You couldn't help but be taken with what handsome fellow he was, but even more so what an incredible and quick sense of humour he had. I will never forget the time he had us all going at the lake, when we wholeheartedly believed he had come up with a song called "Echo Beach". We later found it it was actually a song from Martha and The Muffins. I still think of Grant when I hear it, and always will. He was a wonderful, kind and hilarious person and we will remember him with fondness and a smile. He brightened so many lives. I pray that your memories will get you through this difficult time, and may it bring some comfort to know that those of us that knew him, felt it was an honour and a privilege to have him grace our lives.
