Obituary of Paul Morrissette
MORRISSETTE – Mr. Paul
1945 - 2019
Paul Morrissette of Saskatoon, SK, passed away on Saturday April 20, 2019 at the age of 74 years old. After years of battling cancer, he died peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Paul was born on Feb. 2, 1945 in Duck Lake, SK, to Nancy Arcand and Jeremy Morrissette. He grew up in Park Valley with his parents and siblings. As a young boy he started working in the Forest industry with his pops. At age 13 he left home to find work on his own, he took on many jobs, worked hard and usually mastered whatever he worked on. These jobs include construction, moving buildings, working in the forest industry and roofing. These jobs also took him to live in many different places like Calgary, Regina, Prince Albert, and Saskatoon. In 1989 after losing his wife, Paul moved to Saskatoon and started a roofing business with his boys, which kept him busy until he retired.
Paul loves music and to play the guitar. He loved to watch his grandchildren’s sports and activities, he was always their biggest cheerleader. He always kept himself busy, he was in constant motion, but never too busy for those around him. Paul loved to be surrounded by friends and family. He was a strong patriarch of his family and a good friend to all. Paul could relate to people from all walks of life. He always looked for the good in people and always found it. He took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them. He taught his children what it meant to be a good father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Paul was a strong, proud and a good man. He is truly loved and will be deeply missed by many.
