Obituary of Brent Digby
It is with great sadness that the family of Brent Digby announce his passing on Monday, May 27, 2019 at RUH in Saskatoon at the age of 57 years. Brent was born on October 23, 1961, the third of four children. He lived in the family home in Prince Albert all of his life. He drove taxi for most of his working career until his health deteriorated. With the support of homecare and his family, Brent was able to maintain an independent lifestyle while continuing to live in his own home. He had a love of electronics and enjoyed riding his scooter. He was known as “The Scooter Guy”. Brent would do his neighbourhood watch route, scoot to cornerstone for groceries, shop at the Dollar Store, get his mail or visit a friend – even in the winter. He liked to do everything “his way”. Brent is survived by his three siblings: Janice (Louis) Poulin, Brian (Annette) Digby and Gail (Al) Millham; his nieces and nephews: Alissa (Greg Ferguson) Poulin, Marc (Tanya Umpherville) Poulin, Jon (Emma Caldow) Poulin, Marie Digby and Riel Millham; his aunts and uncles: Margaret Power, Kay Power and Eileen & Glenn Hall. He was predeceased by his mother: Ramona (nee Power) Digby in 1984; and his father Floyd Digby in 1998; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. We would like to thank the staff at Homecare who were a part of the excellent team that supported Brent to be able to live in his own home. We appreciate each and every one of you for the excellent care, love and support you gave to Brent over the past 8 years. He really enjoyed all of you and you were the key to his independence. We are also thankful to Brent’s nieces and and nephews for all of the help they gave to him. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other tributes donations in memory of Brent may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
