Obituary of Rineald Wall

WALL- Rineald Herbert Wall passed away in Shellbrook Union Hospital on August 2, 2008 at the age of 75 years. Rineald was born on November 13, 1932 in Wandsworth, SK. to Philip and Mary Wall. He began his schooling at Wandsworth and then continued in Hague when the family moved there. After a few years the family moved to the Sturgeon River District and Rineald continued his schooling at Foxdale. As he grew up on the farm he helped with the many chores. He decided to spread his wings and took work in BC on a bridge gang but returned home when his father passed away to take over the farm. Shortly after, he met Norma Martin and they married on June 16, 1955. They worked together on the farm. In addition to the grain farming, he worked hard at building a large cattle herd. In spite of the hard work on the farm, the family still managed to go camping and fishing. In 2001 the time came to leave the farm life behind for retirement in the town of Shellbrook. Rineald enjoyed watching many hockey and curling games. He also liked to attend the many auction sales in the area. Rineald thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren, cheering them on when they had their baseball games, and watching them take their swimming lessons. He would round out most days by settling in his chair in the evening with a cup of tea to watch the news. Rineald leaves to mourn his passing; His wife, Norma (nee: Martin) Wall of Shellbrook, SK.; His daughter Roxanne (Garry) Martell of Shellbrook, SK. and their children, Chelise and Cheverin; his son Myron (Cindy) Wall of Shellbrook, SK. and their children, Tiffany, Evan, Natalie and Adrianne; A Sister, Lillian (Alex) Bettger of Rosthern, SK.; A Sister-in-law, Jessie Wall of Edmonton, AB.; A Brother-in-law, William Smart of Shellbrook, SK. and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Rineald was predeceased by; His parents, Philip and Mary (nee:Baun) Wall; His sister, Mary Smart; His brothers, Sergeant Alexander Wall and Rev. Micheal Wall; A nephew, Alexander Smart. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in the Shellbrook Pentecostal Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Peter Nolan as the officiant. The Eulogists were Roxanne and Myron. The Honorary Pallbearers were "All of Reiny's family and friends who knew and loved him." The Active Pallbearers were Brad Martin, Ross Martin, Brent Martin, Greg Remus, Jim Curran and Charlie Smart. The Pianist was Marlene Smart. The Soloist was Jim Smart and Pat Sonntag performed a musical selection on her harp. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetic Association or to the choice of the donor. The interment was held in the Shellbrook Cemetery.
