Obituary of Rose Ivy Aug

AUG – Rose 1924 – 2019 The family of Rose Aug wish to announce her passing at the Parkland Integrated Health Centre in Shellbrook, July 13, 2019, at the age of 95. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Orville Aug; her parents Walter and Mabel Hollowell; her grandsons Ricky and Randy Aug, Scott Kielo; her brothers Floyd Trusty (Edith), Harold Hollowell (Myrtle), Jack Hollowell (Helen), and in-laws Albert (Martha) Aug. She is remembered by her children, grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren: Linda (Dale) Kielo, Doug (Barb), Jody (Neil) McConnachie; Larry (Peggy) Aug, Julie (Ryan) Gareau, Darcie Aug, Laura (Ty) Janke; Donna (Cliff) Skauge, Greg (Carla), Todd (Jolene), Dayna (Jake) Verbonac; Bill (Diane) Aug, Tim (Angie), Stephanie (Miles) Watson, Kalin (Travis) Wollman; Rosalyn (Carmen) Harris, Tyler (Tiffany), Twyla (Simo) Naciri, Taylor (Joseph Paul) Harris; her sister Mabel Stefaniuk and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose lived in the Yankee Valley district south of Parkside on the Aug homestead. Rose and Orville lived on the farm until they moved to Shellbrook in 2007. She devoted her life to the farm and her family and her community. She served on the Rich Valley ACW, St Andrew's ACW, Parkside Seniors Club and was active with Honeywood Heritage Nursery. Her health and her independent nature allowed her to live in her own home until the last few weeks of her life. A Memorial Service honoring Rose will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkside, SK, on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dan Haugen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Rose to the Parkside Heritage Center in care of the Village of Parkside, Box 48 Parkside, SK S0J 2A0.
