Dear Marlene and family my deepest sympathy in the loss of Leroy. You two were an inspiration to all on how to cope with life after a tragedy. Tom & I always enjoyed going to your shop, we bought new wedding bands there for our 25th Aaniversary they lasted for 37 years and I still wear mine although Tom passed away Oct.31st last year. We missed you when you closed LeMar Jewellers. Rest in Peace Leroy. Winnie Rindal

I first met Leroy at the Marlboro coffee shop in the 1970’s when I was working with the Provincial government. We shared many coffee breaks and conversations. I met Marlene through their business LeMar Jewellers and what a great couple they were. Always so kind and cheerful. Leroy will be missed by all who knew him.

We were blessed beyond measure to meet Leroy and Marlene, our “trailer neighbours” in Ambrose Trailer Park at Emma Lake. We became immediate friends and shared many stories and many more laughs. Leroy’s positive attitude and life reality were wonderful examples to live by. Despite his disabling injury early in life, he always had a smile on his face and sparkle in his eyes- there was much joy to be lived and live to the fullest you did Leroy. We’ll carry your wisdom, smile and laughter with us always. Our sympathies to Marlene, Elaine and the grandchildren.

So sorry to hear of Roy's passing. Our sympathies to Marlene and family. I got to know him when he would wheel into my office and share stories. He told me that, after his accident, he spent time feeling sorry for himself (not much time) and then adopted the attitude that ' if these are the cards I've been dealt, I better get on with life,' he credited that attitude with allowing him to see places in the world, as a wheelchair athlete, that he probably would never have seen. What an incredible role model and inspiration !!
May happy memories sustain you as you carry on
