Obituary of Ada Hawrish

Ada Doreen Hawrish At 4:17 am, September 25, 2019, Ada Doreen (nee Manson) Hawrish drew her final breath on this world and began her journey home to all those loved ones who had gone before her. The cruelties of Alzheimer’s had stolen her memories of those she loved and made her life in this world unbearable. We believe that she is now at peace and safe at home where she so longed to be. Ada was born to Alec and Iva Manson in Birch Hills SK on March 20, 1929. She was the youngest of a family of seven, five boys, and a sister, who was her best friend through her entire lifetime. Ada was raised on the family farm in the Winton district and received her education at the Winton School. In 1951 she married Bernard Hawrish of the Butler district north of Weldon. They spent their entire married life on their farm where they raised a family of 4 sons. In 2002, Bernard passed away and Ada moved to Birch Hills where she lived until 2013 when her advancing illness forced her to leave her home and move briefly to a care home in St. Louis, SK and soon after, to the Birchview Nursing Home in Birch Hills. She was able to remain at Birchview until her passing. The family shall be forever grateful to the staff of Birchview for their kind and compassionate care of Ada while she was a resident. Ada is survived by her sons, Ray (June) of Weldon, SK, Doug of Saskatoon, SK, and Daren (Patty) of Sherwood Park, AB; her daughter-in-law: Ada, of Moose Jaw, SK; her grandchildren: Rhonda (Dale) Neufeld, Len Hawrish (Lydia Waldner) of Moose Jaw, and Karla Hayworth of Nipawin; her great-grandchildren: Grayson Neufeld, Chiara Hayworth, Jordan Neufeld, and Bryndin Hayworth; her loving sister and best friend, Pearl Simpso; and her sisters-in-law: Joyce (Larry) Olesko and Carol Hawrish. Ada was predeceased by her husband, Bernard; her son, Lorry; her mother and father, Alexander and Iva Manson; her brothers and her sisters-in-law, James (Annie), John (Joyce), George (Alice), Paul (Jean) and Ken; her husband’s parents, Alex and Olga Hawrish; and her brothers-in-law, Carl Hawrish and Julian Hawrish. In honor of Ada’s wishes a private family interment will take place at a later date. Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.
