Obituary of Roger Philip Rask
Roger Rask
1951 - 2019
Roger Rask, of Shellbrook, SK passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 18, 2019, at the age of 68. Roger was the son of Evelyn and Martin Rask and was raised in Parkside, SK. He is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene, and their four sons; Jeff (Terri-Lynn), Devin (Sasha), Cory, and Darcy (Lindsay) Rask. He is also survived by his twelve loving grandchildren; his siblings, Dennis Rask, Diane Macdonald, and Corinne Myers; as well as many other cousins, relatives, and cherished friendships.
Roger worked as a farmer and instilled a strong work ethic in his boys. In his retirement, he couldn’t resist the urge to help farmers in the area, as farming was always his passion. He cherished his ‘snowbird’ years in Arizona where he was able to enjoy time with Arlene and many friends and family. Roger enjoyed keeping busy, barbequing the perfect steak, playing cards and going for his dedicated long walks. He was a thoughtful and loving father and grandfather. Roger will be deeply missed. We will cherish our memories and the time we had with him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be donated to the Shellbrook Hockey and Curling Rink c/o Town of Shellbrook. A Celebration of Roger’s life will be held on Monday, November 25th at 2:00 pm at the Shellbrook Community Hall with Pastor Chris Dean and Pastor Randy Nolan officiating.
