Obituary of Juliette Cecile Paquette
Juliette Cecile (Lajeunesse) Paquette
Julie was born on May 3, 1925 in Debden, Saskatchewan and passed away at the age of 94, on December 6, 2019 at Whispering Pine Place in Canwood.
Growing up on a farm in Debden, Julie was the eighth child in a family of eleven. On July 8, 1947 she married Roger Paquette and after a brief stay in Port Alberni, they made Debden their home. Together they raised their family and ran several different businesses. Julie was very involved in the community, curling, bowling, Golden Age, snowmobiling, walking with her friends and going for coffee. Roger and Julie were fortunate to be able to do some travelling in their retirement, spending several winters in Mexico and Arizona. She lived her faith and loved her community, but her greatest love was for her family. Summers were spent at Morin Lake surrounded by family. Later the grandchildren and great-grandchildren joined in and she had more love to give.
In 2013 Roger and Julie moved to the Debden Heritage Manor and they settled into a new routine. In September 2018 Julie moved to Whispering Pine Place where she made many more new friends and she was so loved.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Don (Carole) Paquette, Morin Lake, SK; Anne (Rick) LaRocque, Calgary, AB; Sylvia (Mike) Gallant, PEI; Leslie (Nin) Paquette, Jordan River, B.C.; Norman (Leah), Sidney, B.C. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is dearly remembered by all her nieces and nephews and the many friends that she made everywhere she went.
Julie was predeceased by her husband Roger and her son Maurice, her parents Athanase and Marie Lajeunesse, as well as many other relatives.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jean Baptiste R.C. Church in Debden, SK. Her final resting place will be at the Debden Cemetery.
