Obituary of David Andrew Baschuk

With heavy hearts, we are sad to announce the sudden passing Of our father, grandfather and husband, Dave. Dave grew up On a farm in Prud homme. He soon fell in love with a truck and the construction business. He met his wife Barb, and was married on Feb 24, 1973 in Prince Albert. They moved to Saskatoon where they raised their four children. He was self employed and had his own Bobcat business which was very successful. Deciding to slow things down, they moved to Leask in 1999 and have chosen to make it their home. Dave worked very closely with his sons who also chose to work along the same path. He was a very proud grandfather who always had lots of time for the grandkids. He had a wonderful sense of humor which we will always cherish. It was not uncommon to just see Dave sitting around B.S.ing with the guys. I think this is what he liked to do best. That and bugging mother. You could not help but be sucked in by his laughter. He held his family very high and taught us that family is number one and to help one another to succeed. You don't succeed alone. He had many close friends that he held close to his heart and these ties were very strong. We love you Dad and will cherish your memories forever. He is survived by his loving wife Barb (Grunerud); his daughters Bonnie (Jeff) Longhurst, Connie (Wade) Friesen; his son Nick (Allison) Baschuk; his grandchildren Kieran, Trista, Kole, Kaleb, Chance and Hannah; his mother Sophie Baschuk; his brothers Irvin (Sylvia), Tony (Joanne), Dennis (Sharon) Ron (Debbie); his sisters Diane (Walter), Sonia (John). He is predeceased by his son Fred; his father Nick and his sister Rose. Special thanks to Uncle Ron who went above And beyond to help Dad with everything these last few weeks. We love you Dad!!!!!
