I remember Pauline from when, as kids, we lived along the same country road as she and her family did. My sis Hazel played a lot with big cousin Pauline and Kay and we all attended Meadowdale school - I played with Diana, Evelyn, George, and Stanley. When Mom and I lived in Canora, I'd visit at Pauline's and John's across the lane when David was just a baby.
Besides the huge family picnics at Devil's Lake, one of my fond memories was Pauline helping her Mom Diana baking umpteen pies for Evelyn's wedding. I believe Pauline also sewed some bridesmaid dresses for the wedding.
In 1987 a huge Swetleshnoff family reunion was held in Veregin where Pauline surprised us with a printed Swetleshnoff Family History booklet which she continued to keep updated, complete with 6 generations - without using a computer - right up until 2018 when I got my last copy from her. I would give her a big hug for that right now if I could. Several more visits again as we got older, the last in 2012 during Hazel's and my Canora visit - Pauline, John, and Kay made it a point to come from Saskatoon to spend time with us.
Pauline was a devoted wife, a proud mother and grandmother, and a wonderful big cousin. I will miss her and hope that she and Hazel are playing once again in heaven. And perhaps eating pie.
