I was so sad to hear of Auntie Ione’s passing. She was always kind and gracious to me and I will miss her. I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to visit with her in Spiritwood last year - she will always have a place in my heart.
I remember many visits to Northside, picnics in the Pines and shellbrook, Christmas’ in Star City...these memories of our extended family where we ‘kids’ sat at side tables and adults caught up...are burned into my memory bank. The Martodam’s, the Lents, the Dubray’s, the Earls, the Dahls - we were a formidable group. And the Martodam’s were the largest of the group...I truly marvel at how Auntie Ione was able to manage but she did, and with great success!! My condolences to us all. I will never forget her. Thank you for being a part of my life Auntie Ione.
