To the Amundson family,
I did not know your dad and grandpa well. He used to lead the gospel singing service at the Northern Lights Bluegrass Festival, and that was always the highlight of the festival for me. He had a gentle spirit and a beautiful golden tenor voice, and the sincerity with which he sang those wonderful songs shone through and gave witness to his faith in, and love for, his Saviour! I was moved to tears when he sang "I'll be waiting on the far side banks of Jordan", and now he is there. I always requested the song "Uncloudy Day" at those gospel singing services, and I think of Mr. Amundson when I hear the words
Oh, they tell me that He smiles on His children there and His smile drives their sorrows all away;
And they tell me that no tears ever come again in that lovely land of unclouded day.
Oh, the land of cloudless day; Oh, the land of an unclouded sky.
Oh, they tell me of a home where no storm clouds rise; Oh, they tell me of an unclouded day.
I thank God for the life and witness of your dad and grandpa. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, and their works do follow them.
Wishing you peace during this time of sorrow.

Dear Carrie, Darryl, Stanley & Families
What a beautiful memorial service we witnessed today online. You really captured the essence of your father's life in the words spoken and the songs sung. It was a privilege to know him and witness his faithfulness to the Lord, his family and to the church. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints"(Psalm 116:15).
May the Spirit of the Lord be with you in this time of great sorrow. May it comfort you to know that many are upholding you in prayer.
With our love and prayers,
Mervin & Irene Sundbo

To the Family
Although the time of remembering our loved one's passing always tugs
