Obituary of Joan Yvonne Kardash
Myrna Joan Yvonne Kardash
January 7, 1940 - July 17, 2020
With deep sadness, the family of Joan Kardash announces that she passed away peacefully on July 17, 2020. Joan was born to Harvey and Jenny (nee: Hallman) Wood on January 7, 1940 in Leask, Saskatchewan.
To the family & friends of mom and dad...
I'm posting this using mom's own wishes & requests in her own words. After Mike, (dad passed in 2007). Mom left us to meet dad on July 17th, 2020.
Mom wrote, (in her own hand-writng that her "deathbed", be transformed into a "bed of life". She was very clear that she wanted a graveside service only, and to discourage friends and family from travelling long distances to attend.
"No huge bouquets, a single Tropicana colored rose, (like she had in her wedding bouquet), - would be a real bonus since
"I am rejoining my groom"...
It is the wishes of the family to honor her requests for a graveside service in this same way.
Mike & Joan were married on August 29, 1964.
The family will have a graveside service on this same date - August 29th, 2020 so that these two soulmates can be together to renew those same vows for all of eternity...
"When I die"
When I die give what's left of me to
children and old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother walking the street
beside you.
And when you need me, put your arms
around anyone
And give them what you need to give me.
I want to leave you something,
something better than words or sounds,
Look for me in the people I've known
or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live in your eyes, and
not your mind.
You can love me best by letting
hands touch hands,
Any letting go of children that need
to be free.
Love doesn't die, people do.
So when all that's left of me is love,
Give me away.
Loves gift is memories...
RIP - Mike & Joan Kardash
