Obituary of Milton Ingvald Anderson
Milton Ingvald Anderson of Saskatoon was born in the Langham district on August 30, 1919 and passed away on December 29, 2008 at Luther Special Care Home in Saskatoon. Milton is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Edith Irene Anderson, his son Les (Glenda) Anderson and their children Douglas, Lynette and Travis, daughter Noreen Anderson and her sons Robert-John and Thomas Peterson, daughter Audrey (Randy) Jones, and their children Kristopher and Kirsten, son Alton (Lori) Anderson, and their children Kyle and Janeen; sisters Ellen Reithaug, Helen Tang, Mary (George) Agrey, Agnes Brown and brother Ole (Bernice) Anderson; sister-in-laws Mae Grimm, Evelyn (John) Batty, Bella Barber and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Milton was predeceased by his parents Ingeborg (Bella) and Anton Magnus Anderson; mother-in-law Florence and father-in-law Swan Johnson; sisters Camilla Prosser and Alice Coates, brothers Andrew and Alvin Anderson; brothers-in-law Desmond Prosser, Marvin Brown, Marvin Tang, John Reithaug, Russell Coates, Melvin Johnson, Walter Grimm and Stanley Barber. In 1932 Milton moved with his parents and siblings to the Parkside area. It was in the Parkside area that Milton and Irene farmed and raised their family. Milton was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran church and was blessed to be a part of the wonderful community in Parkside. Milton's passions in life were his family, especially his grandchildren, his friends, his church, music and his love of farming. He was an extremely compassionate man with a generous heart. Dad was a very kind, generous person who loved his family with all of his heart, he showed this to us daily in the way he lived his life. Milton was an incredibly hard working individual with a great deal of energy and determination. He will always be remembered for his welcoming smile, sense of humor, his bright blue eyes and very strong coffee. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Luther Special Care Home for their loving care and friendship extended to Milton during his stay there. Milton's funeral was held at Parkside Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday, January 02, 2009, Pastor Chris Dean was officiant. Interment was in the Parkside Cemetery.The Eulogy was read by the family, the organist was Bernice Labrash. Special music was done by the Male Quartet along with Debbie, Pam and Kim. Honorary Pallbearers were: David Moe, Dennis Larson, Ron Larson, Gary Tang, Victor Grimsrud,and Dennis & Ruth Prosser.Active Pallbearers were: Douglas Anderson, Travis Anderson, Robert-John Peterson, Thomas Peterson, Kristopher Jones and Kyle Anderson.Scripture readers were the granddaughters: Kirsten, Lynette, and Janeen. Memorial Donations were directed to Parkside Immanuel Lutheran Church, Luther Care Community 1212 Osler Osler Street, Saskatoon S7N OT9,or donation of choice. We know that Dad is now in heaven singing with the angels, God Bless You Dad.
