Obituary of Jean Boddy

Patricia "Jean" of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan passed away suddenly on Wednesday December 31, 2008 at the age of 66. Jean was born on May 19, 1942 in Prince Albert to Harry and Mary-Jane Purdy of the Twin Bay District. In 1960, Jean married Ted Boddy and after relocating a few times, they settled in Spiritwood where they raised their 4 daughters. Ted and Jean owned and operated a clothing store in Spiritwood for quite a few years and after it's closing Jean worked at various jobs including the golf course, Super A and enumerating for elections. After Ted's passing in 2006, Jean continued living in Spiritwood with her many good friends and neighbors. Jean loved spending time with people whether it be at the cabin in Chitek Lake or on the golf course in Spiritwood. Jean's sense of humor and quick wit will be sadly missed by all. Jean is survived by her daughters: Laurie (Joe) Reis of Saskatoon,SK., Sharon (Bob)Arcand of Saskatoon, SK., Twila Boddy of Saskatoon, SK. and Donna(Greg) Stratychuk of Cold Lake, AB. Her grandchildren: Brett Reis of Saskatoon, SK., Greg (Danielle) Arcand and their children Alexander and Nicholas of Spruce Grove, AB, Kari Arcand (Aaron) of Saskatoon, SK. Mikell(Jasmine) Arcand and their children Ariana and Nyla of Spruce Grove, AB, Jaylynn Arcand of Saskatoon, SK, Tianna Boddy of Saskatoon, SK, and Jaedyn, Jordyn and Jaryn Stratychuk of Cold Lake, AB. Jean is also survived by her sisters Doris (Terrance) Wasko of North Battleford, SK and Audrey (Bruce) McInnis of Prince Albert, SK. Jean was predeceased by her husband Ted in 2006 and by her parents Harry in 1972 and Mary in 1991. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 4th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart RC Church in Spiritwood with Rev. Leigh Sinclair officiating. The music director will be Bill Martodam with Twila Boddy & Boris Sidoruk giving the Eulogy. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Greg Arcand, Mikell Arcand & Brett Reis and her nephews: Neil Wasko, Dale Wasko & Norman Magnus. Honorary Pallbearers are "All friends and relatives who have shared in Jean's life". Jean will be laid to rest in the Spiritwood Cemetery.
