Our deepest condolences Brian and family. Helen was an amazing woman, and will be missed by so many. We lived next door to Brian and Helen on Lamont Crescent in Prince Albert way back in 1978, 1979, and became friends Although the years and life caused us to move in different directions, I have never forgotten the impact she had on my life, and how she could always accomplish whatever she set out to do. She even got me to go jogging a couple of times...and that was no small feat! Lol! Brian and family, I hope you can find comfort in the thought that Helen is at piece, and free from pain. May she rest safely in the arms of the Angels....always remembered and loved.

Brian, Amanda, Stephan and families:
My deepest sympathy in the loss of your beautiful wife, mother and grandmother Helen. She one of the most kind and compassionate people I have had the honor to meet. She was such a wonderful mentor when I volunteered with Victim Services and C.C.R.T. and for all her support, guidance and fun I am forever grateful. She was such a positive light to all she met and I am blessed we were able to walk together as friends for even a short time on our life's journey. May the many memories of her life and love comfort you in the coming days. She will be forever missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To all of Helen’s family I wish to send my condolences. On learning of her passing I was saddened that such a bright light was extinguished much too soon. Helen was one of my supervisors when I started my social work career at the Community Service Centre and I learned so much from her. I didn’t get to see Helen much in the last couple of decades but when I did it was as though no time had passed. All of her family should feel so blessed to have been in her circle while on this earth. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Helen years ago. My mother-in-law was fostering two girls. I was at her house because my sister-in-laws four month old baby had passed away during the night. Two social workers were coming by for a visit - into the house walked Helen and Velma Harder. I remember Helen's comforting words and crying for a baby she had never met. I was drawn to her immediately.
A few years later my life was in chaos. I went to the police station and signed up to be a volunteer. Helen was my guiding light - a strength to press on. Her memory will be with me as long as I live. I remember that stack of photo albums - she really packed alot in a short 65 years.
My heart aches for her family - may the love she so easily gave be with you always. I will see you again my dear friend.

My heart is broken for your loss. Our family still cherishes all the happy memories of Christmas parties at Par place. Your mom was a force of goodness and grace, wrapped into an amazing woman who shared her gifts so unselfishly with others. She changed and guided the person I am today and I will forever be grateful for the memories I have of her and the lessons she taught me.
Your beautiful family is now the tribute of love she left within the world. I know she was so proud of the people you had become. Find comfort in your memories and know that she lives on in the lives of all the people she touched. She truly made a difference in the world and her light and laughter will be so missed.

Brian, Amanda, and Stephen, and families,
I am heartbroken to learn this tragic news. I think the last time I saw you and Helen, Brian, was at our 40th Class reunion. She was genuinely thoughtful and compassionate acknowledging the recent loss of Len in my life, and she gave me a BIG Hug. The world is a much sadder place without Helen's kindness, caring, love, and delightful sense of humour in it. My sincere condolences especially to her immediate family, but also to all who knew her and therefore loved her. Helen is gone far too soon, and she will be sorely missed. BIG Hugs.

Hugely saddened to hear about Helen's passing. I was lucky enough to grow up knowing Helen and even as someone in the periphery of her life, her kindness and overflowing love were evident. I remember as a teenager knowing kids who would call to talk to Helen's son, Stephen, and if Helen answered the phone, they were happy to talk at length with her - sometimes longer than they'd spend on the conversation they'd called for in the first place!
As an adult, I didn't see Helen as often as I did growing up, but whenever I was lucky enough to run into her, she had a hug and a listening ear to offer and always wanted to know how I was and what I was doing. I last saw Helen in January of 2019, probably the first time in nearly ten years, and she looked exactly as she had in my memories, although her hair was silver. Seeing her and being able to hug her felt like truly being home, in the best way.
Deepest condolences on her too-soon passing; with the love she put into the world, she'll never be forgotten.
