I am sorry to learn of George passing. He was a Great Friend, During my high school years in Shell Lake, helping George on the Dray and shoveling coal in the winter. George was constantly telling jokes and he was a prankster. I recall one time whilst we were off loading groceries from a rail car onto the dray, George was handing me cartons of Campbell soups and I was stacking them on the dray. He was passing two or three cartons to me at a time, and for a fifteen year old kit, that was a pretty heavy lift, I was standing at the back of the dray, and George came staggering to the door with one carton, he then tossed the carton to me and it hit me in the chest and I fell back flat on my back, turned out he was faking the weight as the carton was very light, George was howling with laughter and I had no choice but to join him and we both appreciated the trick. May God Bless and keep you my Dear Friend.

My sympathy to the family of George Morris, who was one of the first persons my husband and I met on our arrival in Shell Lake. To this day I and members of my family depend on members of his family to look after our cabin. You are not forgotten George.

Barb, Lyle, Larry and families, we were so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We will remember a soft spoken, friendly fella who loved to talk and visit, especially when he came down to the lake "campground". He always had a smile for everyone. Remember him with all the memories you guys have and enjoy a laugh with George.
