Philip Ray Roy March 17, 1957 – May 26, 2021 With heavy hearts the family of Philip Ray Roy announce his sudden passing at the age of 64. Philip leaves to cherish his memory; his brothers: Larry J. Roy of Ahtahkakoop First Nation, Gilbert Roy (Sylvia Laliberte) of Pelican Lake First Nation, Lawrence Roy of Edmonton, AB, Harvey (Mary Jane) Roy of Big River First Nation, Richard (Delphine) Roy of Saskatoon, SK, Alex Roy (Linda Chamakese) of Pelican Lake First Nation, George (Marilyn) Roy of Pelican Lake First Nation, his sisters: Marianne Adair of Edmonton, AB, Cora (Willie) Thomas of Pelican Lake First Nation, Bernadine (Harry) of Pelican Lake First Nation, Anne (Dennis) Bear of Big River First Nation, his children: Philip James Cardinal of Waterhen Lake First Nation, Allan Thomas of Pelican Lake First Nation, Chasity(Donavan) Charles of Pelican Lake First Nation, his many grandchildren – special mention of Brayden and Ava Thomas, his grandsons, Lyndon Bouvier, Kolby Bouvier, his granddaughters Azariah Calliope Thomas-Charles, Madison Bouvier, Avery Bouvier, His Special niece, Layna Thomas (Titter), numerous nieces, nephews, adopted sisters and brothers. Philip is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Alexis and Justine(nee: Primeau) Roy, his maternal grandparents, Soloman and Mariah Musaskapoe, his parents, George and Betty (nee: Musaskapoe) Roy, his sisters Marguerite Rose Roy, Margaret Linda Roy, Evelyn Joan (nee: Roy) Rabbitskin, his nephews, Daniel Flint Thomas, Billy James Thomas, Dustin Bear, Vincent McAdam. Wake will commence on Saturday, May 29th and the Funeral Service will be Monday the 31st of May, 2021. Both Services will be held at the Pelican Lake First Nation Bingo Hall, Leoville, SK. Burial will take place in the Pelican Lake First Nation Cemetery. The Elders will Officiate, with Edward Bill as the Pipe Carrier for the Pipe Ceremony. Honorary Pallbearers are all those who shared his life, his friends and all those who knew him. Pallbearers are Dwayne McAdam, Francis Rabbitskin, Moses Abbott, Lance McAdam, Eben Abbott.
