Lucille Koeberlin

Obituary of Lucille Margarette Anne Koeberlin

Lucille Koeberlin passed with her loved ones at her side on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Lucille was born in Toronto on February 12, 1944. Her family moved to the farm at Ridgedale when she was 5. She attended elementary school at Edenbridge, middle school at Ridgedale Rural, and High School in the town of Ridgedale. She loved singing in the Ridgedale Church choir. She lived with the Bert Lloyd family and took care of their children before she attended nursing school. Lucille attended nursing school in North Battleford and Prince Albert, graduating in 1964. In that same year she met Harald at Korczak’s Boarding House. They were married April 24, 1965. They soon welcomed a baby girl into their lives, followed by another girl and then two boys. She stayed home to raise the kids for a few years, and then went to work at the Holy Family Hospital for 30 years. She absolutely loved working on the surgical floor and took very special pride in putting on her “nurse’s cap.” When the Holy Family Hospital closed, she transferred to the Victoria Hospital. During her career she made many lasting friendships. She retired in 2012. Her love of travel took her to many places including Germany, China, Portugal, Italy, and Ireland, but her favorite place on earth was the cabin at Candle Lake. There is many a fond memory of her there in winter, spring, summer and fall. Lucille leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 56 years, Harald; her daughter, Rochelle (Alan) Lennox, and their family, Shaylin Jackson (with whom she had a very close and special bond), Shavonne Lennox and Aiden Lennox; her daughter, Christine (Troy) Emery and their family Kieran Homann (and his children Kayel and Rowan), Jensen Homann, and Rhyan Emery; her son, Marcus (Donna Waselyshen); her son, Mathew (Denise) and their family Tessa, Trey and Taryn Koeberlin; and her sister Nadine (Henk) Siegersma. She also leaves her special friends and travel companions, Ann Robson, Pat Purdy, and Jeanne Manseau; numerous other relatives and friends; and her cat Morley. She was predeceased by her father, Arnold Scott; her stepdad, Pete Beaulieu; her mother Velma “Bobbie” Beaulieu; her brother, Bryan Scott; and her brother-in-law, Bill Reimer. Due to Covid-19 regulations, a Private Family Celebration of Lucille’s Life will he held on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
