Marg & Grant families,
My heart aches with you and for all the Grant families at this sad time. Ray was a special cousin like all the Grants as much family as my brothers. We so enjoyed you guys coming to the Dextrase farm. The laughs, stories, sitting by the firer, so many good memories. When someone we love becomes a memory, the memories become treasures. Will always treasure the times we had together. So when I think of Ray, its his smile, laugh and always fun times with the cousins.Wish I had words to ease your pain and sorrow. Our heart is never ready and the time never right to say good-bye but sending you all a lot of love & hugs. Sorry couldn't be with you but my thoughts and prayers are. I will look back on all the good memories & and smile at what we shared. Judi

Auntie Margaret, Cousin Kevin and Karen – We are very sorry for your loss. I will always cherish all my childhood memories of summers and holiday trips spent together with Uncle Ray and all of you. It is likely close to 40 years since we last got together but those are some of my fondest childhood memories. Sending our love and prayers.

Auntie Marg, Karen and Kevin I am sadden to hear of Uncle Ray's passing. I remember the happy times when we would visit the farm. One time comes to mine now as I write I'm remembering why grandma's cat was called "pilsner". I am sure uncle John can remember. Ever see an inebriated cat ? LOL I remember my Dad and I visiting in Saskatoon and Uncle Ray cooked us a steak
I remember him taking me to the Elks club and him buying me a whiskey. the server came around to take our order Uncle Ray piped up and said bring us a couple of CC's ( Canadian Club). When I visited with Uncle Ray he made me feel like I was among Kings with a laugh and drink he would tell me another tale of an adventure he had. He will be sadly missed.

My heart goes out to you Margaret, Kevin and Karen. I haven’t seen as much of you guys over the years as I would have liked, living so far away. It’s devastating to lose a husband and a father. Try and remember the good times as there were many. Love Sandra.

I will always remember sitting on our deck Friday nights at Aquadeo, looking for Rays car coming down the hill. I know how much all of you loved and respected him and I hope you find peace in the memories you have because as long as we have our memories, those we love are never truly gone. My wish is that all who love Ray can find comfort in each other, now and forever. Take care of yourselves.
