Aphonse will be deeply missed by the Allchurch family, he was the sweetest most caring man we ever had the pleasure to know. He always had a twinkle in his eye, I am sure he is in heaven visiting with Uncle Bob and Grandma Jessie!!

To Alphonse’s family:
My parents were good friends with Alphonse and the Fekete family. I remember the Fekete parents, and of course, knew Alex along with Lita. I remember all the dogs that Mr. Fekete, Sr. had, dogs like Poobelly and Snowball. He used to call me “Csopike” (Hungarian for “droplet”). I also remember Booboo the bear. There were so many animals around the Fekete farm and I have many wonderful memories of the family and their farm.
I knew Alphonse all my life and am so sorry to hear that he has passed away. He was the most patient person I ever knew and I don’t think I ever saw him angry or upset. He was so good to our parents, especially Dad, and often helped them out when a hand was needed. I know he really enjoyed Mom’s Hungarian cooking and baking and thought the world of her.
I’ll always remember Alphonse on the farm, working hard with the cattle, but always having time for visitors whenever they arrived. How he loved to tell a good story, and always had a twinkle in his eyes!
Alphonse was a pallbearer for both our parents, and now that he is gone, it feels like another piece of our history is gone as well.
I’m so sorry I can’t attend the funeral, but to Alphonse’s family, please know that I am thinking of you and wish to express my deepest condolences on the loss of this humble, kind and wonderful family member. I know he will be dearly missed by his family, as well as the community of Spiritwood and surrounding area.

On behalf of the Walter Family we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Alphonse's family,
He was an amazing person, so gentle, so real and down to earth, he was a true friend, that would have given the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. a True Gentleman. I loved his visits and stories of animals, hunting, farming, dogs,& friends, they were so innocent and real. I will always remember him at Resolute dances, Christmas parties, he was always on Alphonse time and had his rubber boots on and how he enjoyed the home cooking food table, with always a compliment to the cooks. RIP dear friend, you are at peace now roaming the wildness and revisiting with all your old friends. It was a honour to be your friend and neighbour .

Oh my Dear “Fonzie” my heart breaks to hear of your passing. You were such a True Friend, and good neighbor. There are so many wonderful memories to remember you. From taking me hunting , and then skinning our deer in the barn when it was so darn cold. Playing donkey Kong and the shooting ducks on your Atari game, dance classes at Resolute school, to helping each other with cattle, baling and hauling bales, coming in for supper at 5:00 in the morning cause you and Joey baled all night to finish the fields before it rained. Surprise birthday parties, and “ looney “ muffins with Mellissa, and so so much more! I know you are now free of pain and walking freely with all your four legged friends you acquired over the years; Boobush your bear, Charlie the moose, Dusty and Jo-Jo, just to name a few. As you are reunited with your Dear Mom and Dad, brother Alec,; WE will miss you, Alphonse.
May you Rest In Peace in the loving arms of our Lord and Saviour.

I am so saddened to learn of Alphonse passing. When I visited in Spiritwood, and had the pleasure of seeing Alphone, he always had a hug for me, made me feel welcome and special with his stories of years gone by. Alphonse was the most sincere, genuine, kind, understanding individual. Alphonse, you will be missed, you will be remembered.
My condolences to Elizabeth, Annie, Monolita and families.

Alphonse was one of the most genuine nicest human being you could meet. He loved his dog and cared about his farm. I remember our visits in his shack and all the pictures he had. He cared about me and my business. Was always supportive. I wish I was born in a different time because me and Alphonse would have been good friends . Going to miss the service calls out to the farm. Rest easy buddy.

We wish to send our condolences to Alphonse's family He will be remembered for his great stories and his knowledge of wild animal behavior. When he described a scene about animals, it was very clear and full of amusing details. He loved a good laugh and every visit held many. He is also remembered as a great friend, it was an honor to have known him. His word was as solid as it comes, a rare trait these days. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace old friend.
