Isabelle “Jez” Harris (nee McKay)

Isabelle Harris, late of Prince Albert, passed away on August 20, 2021 in Biggar, SK, at the age of 84 years.  As the eldest of seven children, she was a born leader and matriarch.  She was a gentle woman, always willing to take part in whatever adventure family or friends were undertaking.  She loved all get togethers, fishing, quilting, playing cards, going to the office and being with people.  She treated everyone as an equal, seeing the good in all and treated everyone with respect earning it in return.  She was an avid photographer, spending many weekends on excursions to capture those splendid shots.  Her grandchildren and family the most photographed.  Her working life was spent as an RN, in many places and specialties.  Being involved with the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses took her around the province and across Canada negotiating and fighting for improved work conditions.  Isabelle’s friends came from many walks of life, chuckwagon families, coworkers, people she met from a garnered hobby, friends of her children’s and most cherished of all were her near and extended family.  Isabelle was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Daisy McKay; her brothers, Jim and Fred McKay, and son Wayne Harris.  Isabelle is survived by: her daughter, Kathy (Chris Saulnier) and children, Bretton and Renee; Kayla (daughter of Wayne Harris) (Cody Gliddon) and children, Brinley, Zailey and Kaedri; her siblings: Jean Hewitt, Norman McKay, Linda McKinnon and Shirley Otterbein and their families.  She will be greatly missed by her family, and all those who knew her.
