Obituary of Verna Jean Whitefish

Verna Jean Whitefish late of Big River First Nation, SK passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the age of 47 years. Wake Services for Verna will commence on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. from the Big River First Nation Band Hall. Verna will be laid to rest in the Whitefish Anglican Cemetery.

Verna is lovingly survived by her partner, Marvin Berland; her children, Taylor (Dallas) Whitefish, Rollen Whitefish, and Aiden Whitefish; her stepfather, William Kahpeechoose; her special loving grandmother, Annabelle Harris; her adopted brothers, Kenny Dustyhorn & Chad Joseph; her siblings, Laura, Hubert, Sonya, Shannon, Aldina, Kyla (Greg); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
