Obituary of Raymond Stennett

STENNETT - Raymond passed away at the Spiritwood Health Complex on Sunday June 21, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Ray was born March 7, 1927 in the Whitkow area, the family then moved to the Richard area to farm when Ray was approximately three years old. Ray moved to the Rabbit Lake area with his Mother and Sister where they farmed for five years. Ray's brother Edward went into the Garage business and Ray and his mother moved to Spiritwood. Ray worked at various jobs; one was in a bakery in Moose Jaw, later to have a small house construction business. Ray worked in Alberta, B.C. and then lived with his mother in Spiritwood until her passing in 1961. Ray enjoyed hunting, fishing and being a member of the Lutheran Church. Ray suffered with Schizophrenia which created many challenges for Ray. Ray's journey has now ended and we his friends wish him eternal peace. Raymond leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Edward Tenet, his nephews Robert (Louise) Tenet, Leonard (Diane) Tenet, and his niece June (Wayne) Lorenz. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Lamina Tenet, Sister Ivan (Ken) Shaw. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, June 26th, 2009 at 1 p.m. from the Idyllwild Lodge, Spiritwood, SK with Rev. Don Unger officiating, the eulogy was given by Yvette McGowan, music was directed by Bill Martdam. The Honorary Pallbearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Raymond's life, the Pallbearers were Wilfred Guhl, Elvin Knutson, Dale Bowman, Ann Zach, Gordon Franson and Keith Franson. Memorial donations May be made to the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan. Beau "Lac" Funeral Home of Spiritwood was entrusted with the arrangements.
