Obituary of Gordon Christian Leland

 Gordon Christian Leland
 April 19, 1941- September 10, 2021

Gordon Christian Leland passed away at the age of 80 at Parkland Integrated Health Centre, Shellbrook, Saskatchewan.
Gordon will be sadly missed by his family: daughters, Lori Flahr and Tammy Leland; sister-in-law, Lois Leland; brothers, Don (Joan), Allan, Glen (Jean), Dave (Donna); and sister, Donna (Arden) Ashdown as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gordon was predeceased by his father, Anton Leland 1972; his mother, Carrie Leland 1986; brother, Irving 2020; nephews, Brent, Douglas Blair, Gary, Douglas Glen and Jeffery Leland; as well as sisters-in-law, Betty and Carole.
Gordon was born and raised in Weldon on the family farm. He enjoyed helping his dad and took a real interest in farming the land and maintaining the machinery. He worked at several various jobs that took him to Alaska and Northern Alberta.
During his last years in Birch Hills he truly enjoyed the comradery of the friends he made there.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Shellbrook Hospital for their care and kindness to Gordon in his last days.  Also, special thanks to our brother Don, his wife Joan and nephew Larry for their faithful love and support of Gordon and for always being there when he needed them.

A Graveside Service will be held in honour of Gordon’s life at the Weldon Cemetery at a date to be announced.
