Obituary of Marie Rose Horn

HORN: It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Horn on July 4, 2009 in Spiritwood, Saskatchewan at the age of 53 years. Marie was born on February 5, 1956 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she lived in many places growing up, and making many friends along the way. She settled in Spiritwood, Sask in 1977, where she married and had two daughter's Kerri and Kelley. Marie worked for numerous years at the Spiritwood Credit Union. Marie enjoyed spending Sunday's traveling with her girls to visit family in Leoville and Chitek Lake; she was famous for baking delicious homemade buns and bread. Marie loved to entertain her two grandchildren Ashtun and Mataiya. In 2006, Marie came to live in the Spiritwood long term care facility, having been diagnosed with an illness at the young age of 29, Marie spent twenty four years living life to the fullest, and she was a very brave and courageous woman. Marie's strength will live on in her daughter's, grandchildren, sibling's and many other relatives and friends. "Rest Peacefully MOM, we know we will meet again, sooner in our dreams, someday in heaven, forever in our hearts." Marie will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Kerri (Roberto) Morales of Saskatoon, SK, Kelley (Brent) Fineday of Saskatoon, SK, her grandchildren Ashtun and Mataiya Fineday of Saskatoon, SK. Her sister and brothers Paulette Denis (William Tyndall) of Chitek Lake, SK, Leonard (Phyllis) Casavant of Saskatoon, SK, Morris (Violet) Casavant of Moose Jaw, SK, As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts,uncles and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Paul and Doris Casavant, her infant brother Albert Casavant, her brother in-law Rene Denis. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, July 10th, 2009 ~ 3 p.m. from the Spiritwood Civic Centre with Delores Beaulac officiating. The Tribute was read by her Daughters. The Cross Bearer was Ashtun Fineday, the Honorary Pallbearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Marie's life, the Pallbearers were Morris Casavant, Leonard Casavant , Sandra Denis, Shelley Cooling, Phil Gregoire, Charles Dougan and David Doucette. Marie was laid to rest in Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to Spiritwood & District Health Complex Activities.
