Obituary of Robert Bruce Pocha

It is with extreme sadness that the family announce Bob’s sudden passing at the Victoria Hospital on Friday, November 26, 2021. 

Bob was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Melfort and Prince Albert.  Bob worked in the Assessment Department with the City of Prince Albert for over 40 years retiring a second time in 2015.  Weekends and summers were spent at the family cabin at Nobles Point in Candle Lake.  Earlier years saw many hours put on the boat, while the last few years were at the trout pond or just sitting on the front deck talking to neighbors.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon; son, Chris (Bonnie); granddaughters Hannah, Brittany and Spencer; his siblings Kathy (Jim) Owens, Tim (Eileen) Pocha, and Patty (Paul) Rimmer; sister-in-law, Mary Pocha; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his son, Ryan; his mother, Norma Wilson; his father, Hubert Pocha; step father, Stafford Wilson; brothers Donald, Dennis, Gerald, Myles, Randy and Charlie Pocha; parents-in-law Mary and Alex Basaraba; and brother-in-law, Dale Basaraba.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1796 15th Avenue East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Val Bodnaryk. The Celebration of Life will be live streamed and may be viewed at:  https://www.tributeslides.com/tributes/show/7FQN9TRCNF9KYGHY
