Craig Fiddler

Obituary of Craig Ralph Fiddler

It is with the deepest sorrow, shock and disbelief that we announce the passing of Craig Ralph Fiddler.  Craig was born on September 13, 1964 to parents Ralph and Joyce Fiddler.  He passed peacefully on December 12, 2021 of natural causes.

Craig loved his children Blair and Alicia (Braden).  He was especially “over the moon” in love with and so proud of his grandchildren Aurora and Atlas Light.

Craig was a people person.  He had many friends all throughout his life.  Craig was outgoing and loved to talk and could start an engaging conversation with anyone whether stranger or friend.  It didn’t matter what a person’s station in life was they were respected.  Craig had many stories to share.  People seemed to naturally gravitate to him especially children.  He truly possessed a God Given gift.

Craig was especially proud of his Metis Heritage.  He did research on his Metis family side back to the Red River Settlement and was astonished of how many famous and important ancestors he was related to.

Craig loved sports especially football and hockey as a spectator.  His favourite hockey team was the Montreal Canadiens.  Craig played football in High School and minor league hockey.  Whatever he was involved in, he gave it his all.

Craig retired from Corrections, Prince Albert Youth Centre.  When it came for his days off some of the clients would literally cry and beg him not to go.  He then was employed with many organizations.  Craig enjoyed his various jobs, the experiences, and the people he worked with.  His most recent employment was with the Bernice Sayese Centre.  He just loved the job and always indicated how good the people he worked with were.

Craig is survived by his children, Blair and Alicia (Braden); his grandchildren, Aurora and Atlas; his parents, Joyce and Ralph (Wendy); brother Tim (Tracy) and their family Devon, Darien and Jessica; his brother Ritchie (Jodi) and their family Thomas, Rylee and Zaylee; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a myriad of friends.

He was predeceased by his papa and baba, William and Helen; grandma and grandpa, Matilda and Raphael; his aunt and uncles.

Craig will be greatly missed this holiday season and forever.

A Private Family Service will be held.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
