Sending our deepest condolences to Carolynn & family! Barry was a wonderful kind man! He loved help the kids at 4H, no matter what club they were from! We will always remember the times we all spent there together. Families form different clubs, but everyone became friends! Barry always had time for quick visit any time we seen him in town! We were so sorry to hear of his passing! IHe will be missed! Ken and Bonnie Wasden

Condolences to Carolynn and the entire family. I got to know Barry from playing old timer hockey and from being a neighbour. I always loved the stories he would tell in the dressing room before and after. Muriel and I will miss him deeply.

Condolences to Barry’s family in your time of grief I didn’t know Barry very well. He was at my Grandma’s funeral in June and was so kind. He shared with my mom how well behaved our children were at grandmas service. He was so kind, telling mom to give those parents kudos for such well behaved children. That in itself was one of the nicest things I’ve ever heard. Barry was such a kind man-who is now most definitely in heaven ❤️ Hugs to all who loved him

Our deepest sympathies to Carolyn and the family. Many years ago, Barry saw something in me that I didn’t necessarily see in myself. He introduced our family to the 4h program and the whole time he kept telling me. “Pay attention, you’ll be doing this next year”. I guess he was right. Here we are 10 years later and the 4h program is still strong thanks to Barry and Carolyn’s guidance. Barry influenced so many young people in such a positive way… I only hope to leave as much of a legacy to the 4h program as he did. What a great man. I am truly honoured to call him my friend and mentor.

Barry was a such a presence in our life. The way he took Nicholas under his wing will never be forgotten. Barry was also the officiant for our wedding in 1997 and made me feel right at home in Big River. We enjoyed visiting with both Barry and Carolyn. We are sorry we didn’t get to visit before he passed. He will be genuinely missed. Heaven gained a good one.
