Obituary of Gilbert Joseph Georges Boyer

BOYER – Mr. Gilbert

It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandpa Gilbert Joseph Boyer, of Marcelin, SK.  He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 1, 2022, at the age of 93.

Gilbert was born on August 9, 1928, he was survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Muriel, his children: Alvin (Laura), Sylvia (Gabe) Clouthier, Glenn (Bernice Ewankow), and Sharon (Alvin Trapp); His grandchildren: Jodie Clouthier, Jamie (Josh) Gegner, Crystal Clouthier and Megan Boyer; His great-grandsons: Paxton and Arlo Gegner, Van Clouthier; also, the Church and Lapierre families.  Numerous nieces and nephews as well as the countless friends whose lives he touched and held a special place in his heart.

He was predeceased by his father Ernest; his mother Lucy; an infant brother Leonce; his sister Denise; his brother-in-law Ken Sabin; his stepmother Blanche (Lapierre); his in-stepbrothers Joe and Oscar Lapierre; his in-laws Emerson and Lucille Church; sister-in-laws Judy Church and Delaine Krantz.

A Celebration of Gilbert’s life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 1:30 at St. Joseph Parish in Marcelin, SK.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marcelin Cemetery.
