My sincerest condolences to Val and family. Rich and I served on the SaskTip Board of Directors for several years. Rich was an integral part of the operation of SaskTip for many years. He retired 1 year before I did. I was shocked to hear of his passing. He was a kind sole, and will be missed.

I just learned of Rich's passing this evening. I was shocked. I worked with Rich for quite a few years off and on while we were both employed in the Ministry of Environment. He was a great man who will be missed. My condolences.

To the family of Rich Hildebrand:
I extend my sincere sympathy in the loss of Rich. I knew Rich when I served as Minister of Environment and Resource Management in the 1990s. More recently I worked with Rich as we were both on the board of SaskTip. Rich's dedication to the conservation of the natural resources of Saskatchewan was greatly appreciated and made our province a better place to live.
In appreciation,
Lorne Scott

I was shocked and profoundly saddened to hear of Rich's sudden passing. Rich and I were classmates at Kelsey in Saskatoon which seems like ages ago. We had recently started to catch up on e-mail. I feel privileged and honoured to have known Rich. He was by far one of the nicest people I have ever known. He was fun to be around because he was kind, always happy, had a smile on his face and had time for everyone. He was a gem of a man and was taken from us way too early. My condolences to the family.

It was a pleasure to work with Rich in northern Saskatchewan in the early 1980s, and our last visit in BC in the 1990s was regrettably far too brief. Condolences to his friends and family.

Dear Val, Jennifer, Teri and David,
I am so heavy-hearted to hear about your great loss. Rich was such a kind man. Although it’s been many years, I can still picture his kind smile and enthusiastic greetings at church, always leaving you with the feeling he was genuinely happy you came. Although we have faith this is a temporary separation, the sadness is still great and you are all in my thoughts.

Dear Val and children, Doreen and Alvin, Dale and Rox and families:
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. I wish i had known him better. I have vague memories of Richard and Dale at our farm as kids playing outside. We lived quite close to you.
Richard had an amazing smile which reflects who he was, kind and gentle. He was " a man after God's heart."
He will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are always with you.
Love, Sharon Waldron, a cousin from the Suderman clan.

I am sorry to learn of Rich's passing. My first memory of Rich was as my handler when I played Smokey Bear at an event with the premier. Over the years, I got to know him more as we worked in the Mac Mall. It was interesting to hear of the work that he did on weekends with Sunday School and even taking services.
Be assured of our prayers for you as a family at this time.
