Obituary of Carl Leonard Kunz

Carl passed away unexpectedly at his home in Prince Albert.  He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Debbie; his children, Lori (Kevin), Nikki (Kevin), and Troy; his grandchildren, Logan, Elizabeth, Brooke, and Austin; his mother-in-law Marlene; his sister-in-law, Judy (Roger); his brother-in-law Ron (Lori), and his faithful companion Biscuit.  Carl is also survived by his siblings, Laverne (Margaret), Angeline (Albert), and Veronica; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, Josephine and Albert; his siblings, Dominic, Teresa, Barb (Ron), Eugene, Albert, and his father-in-law George.

Many knew Carl as a mechanic, farmer, ball-player and a familiar face at auctions.  He loved farm life, fishing and family.  He was always on the move or “MacGyvering” anything and everything.  He loved his yard and garden and worked tirelessly to make it the way he wanted.  He loved horses and enjoyed restoring buggies and then driving them on wagon treks. If the Toronto Maple Leafs were as good on the ice as Carl was with his skid-steer, they’d be in the Stanley Cup finals every year!

In keeping with Carl’s wishes no formal funeral service will be held.   A family celebration will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please share your best memory of Carl in the tribute section of the funeral home website.  Donations in memory of Carl may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 100-119 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6 or Diabetes Canada, 2404 Thayer Ave #7, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5X2.  Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium, Tracy-Lynn Lenchuk, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
