Obituary of Kent Ronald Milton Blyth

Kent Ronald Milton Blyth

1964 - 2022

It is with great sadness, that the family of Kent Ronald Milton Blyth announce his passing on July 7, 2022, at the age of 57 years.  He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Christine Folkerson, and brother-in-law, John Pino; his son Mason Wagler; his special Aunty, Muriel Graham and special cousins, Lee and Shelly Graham and Derren and Darcy Weimer; his many other aunts and uncles and cousins, and friends who were like family to him.  He was predeceased by his mother Laverne Folkerson (nee Graham), step father Roy Folkerson, his father Robert (Bob) Blyth, his grandparents Leon and Sarah Graham, and Robert and Myrtle Blyth.

Kent was born in Saskatoon SK in 1964.  He lived there as a child but often spent time on the weekends with his Aunt Muriel and Uncle Jim in Prince Albert, SK.  This is where he learned to care for and ride horses. This is also likely the age where Kent grew to love the exhibition/fair.  It didn’t matter what Kent was doing or if he was supposed to be working, he always found a few hours to take in the local exhibition, go on a few rides, play a few games and give his prize away to a child he saw walking by.

When Kent was a teen, his family moved to Spiritwood Saskatchewan where he quickly made some life long friends.  Kent tried his hand at many jobs across Canada throughout his life but spent the majority of his time seeing the country side while doing road construction or trucking.  He spent most of his adult life calling Lloydminster, SK, his home.  Throughout his life, Kent always had a soft spot for nature and enjoyed hunting and fishing, taking photos of the wildlife he saw while working, and always stayed connected to his friends and family no matter how far away he was.

For those of you who helped Kent or donated to the Go Fund Me to make Kent’s life a little easier over this last year, his family truly appreciates all of you.  If friends and family desire, memorial donations can be made directly to the Wildlife Rescue Society of Saskatchewan or the Canadian Cancer Society

A Celebration of Life for Kent will be held on July 23, 2022, in Edmonton AB, at the Coronation Park – picnic site #3 at 11:30AM.  For more information or RSVP of attendance, please email clfolk@shaw.ca
