Obituary of Larry Richard Andrew Proulx
PROULX: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Richard Andrew Proulx at the age of 29 years. Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his father Laurent, his loving mother Hilda, Buffy the dog and Lucky the cat. Larry's first home was on the farm, north east of Shell Lake, there is were he got a close and loving bond with his grandparents Andrew & Edith Proulx, Larry's second home was in Surrey B.C., then moved to the West Coast and to Biggar, Sk, then making there home in Shell Lake. Larry started school in Shell Lake at 4 and half years old, and then he proudly graduated in 1998. After graduation Larry stuck around home for a while, his first job was in construction in Alberta, when he had enough of that he went on to be a Security Guard in Edmonton with Shaun Tung for five years. Larry's home town called him back again, where he took on the task of Golf Marshall for the town golf course. Larry spent his time with his many friends, he enjoyed collecting and watching movies, many hours went to golfing, fishing, karaoke and his family. The Prayer Service was held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. from the Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church, Victoire, Saskatchewan. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Notre Dame des Victoires Roman Catholic Church, Victoire, Saskatchewan with Reverend Father Bernabe Millan as celebrant, the music was directed by Louise Marchildon with Erik Paquette as the organist, the soloist was Gilles Francoeur, the honorary pallbearers were all relatives and friends who shared in Larry's life, the pallbearers were Ellis Vaagen, Jeff-Ray Proulx, Shaune Vaagen, Raymond Proulx Jr., Blake Nelson, Ray Holtorf and Brian Pitceathly, the crossbearer was Allen Pitceathly. Larry was laid to rest in the Victoire Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Larry may be made to Children's Health & Hospital Foundation.
