Ivan was born on June 10th, 1942 in Meadow Lake, Sask.  He attended primary school in Timberland.  At a very young age, he left school to begin working.  He had many occupations in his life.  No matter what work was being discussed, Ivan had either done some of it himself or was interested in learning about it.

In Oct. 1964 Ivan married his lifelong partner Cecile Compagna.  Together the worked very had to build their farm.  In 1968 they had a son Neal and later in 1970 a daughter Fay.  Upon leaving the farm Ivan and Cecile retired in Leoville and enjoyed their senior years playing cards and travelling to rodeos to watch chuck-wagon races.

Ivan was devoted to farming, ranching, community and family.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, traveling, riding his side-by-side, going for coffee, playing cards and just reading a good book!  He also told the greatest stories about his life and things he had experienced.  He had so many wonderful stories to share.

He will be missed deeply by his family, friends and all who knew him.
