Obituary of Peter Thomas Studer

On October 11, 2022, our beloved Peter passed away unexpectedly at the age of 74 years with family by his side. 

Peter was born in Prince Albert on March 17, 1948.  He was raised at Contact Lake until the age of 8 years old, then moved to Prince Albert, SK.  He prospected and staked claims with his brother Jerry while working at the Grotto pool hall.  He met the love of his life, Charlotte Duval, in the fall of 1970, and they were married on July 7, 1973.  Peter then worked at Buckwold’s Wholesale Store.  He then started his career with the provincial government and completed his 35 year career as the Manager of Purchasing.  Peter and Charlotte started their family and had three beautiful daughters, who went on to bless them with six wonderful grandchildren.  Peter was an exceptionally loving, caring, smiling, friendly and positive person.  He was always willing to lend a helpful hand to anyone and loved his family beyond all else.  He loved fishing, listening to music, playing pool, travelling, watching football and hockey and spending time at Contact Lake with his family.  His favorite thing was spending time with his grandchildren. 

Peter leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Charlotte; their three daughters, Dreanne (Scott) Neurauter of Saskatoon, SK and their children, Noah, Logan and Kayla; Kristin (Dwayne) Shewchuk of Prince Albert, SK, and their children, Jack and Owen; Janelle Studer (Joel Gaudet) of Bellevue, SK, and their son, Kemper; his brothers, Robin (Olga) Studer, Dan (Louise) Studer and Forrest Studer; his sisters-in-law, Louise (Kelly) Strand and Colleen Duval; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom he cherished.   Peter was predeceased by his parents, John and Lina Studer; his sisters, Berna Studer, Joan Studer, and Carol Studer; his brother Jerome “Jerry” Studer; and his parents-in-law, Joseph and Marie-Anna Duval. 

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2022, at St. Joseph Parish, 260 25^th Street East, Prince Albert, SK.
