Obituary of Sandra Ann Marcotte

Sandra Ann Marcotte (nee Pilon)

Sandra passed away on March 9, 2023, in Cochin, SK, at the age of 68 years. Sandra was married to the “Love of her Life” for 49 years. She was the second daughter born on April 21, 1954,in Prince Albert, SK to Mary-Jane (nee Breland) and Raymond Pilon.  At the young age of 15 years old she met the love of her life Denis, they were married on August 11, 1973, and resided in Prince Albert.  Finally in 1979 they had their first born and continued to have 6 more children together.  They say, “ they were not easy to raise, but wouldn’t have it any other way”.  In August of 1996, their first of 15 grandchildren was born and she loved it when her children and grandchildren would come over to visit, they were her life.  Sandra enjoyed making blankets and dishcloths, and showed us how to make them, so we could continue to after she was gone.  In 2001 they moved to Whitecourt, AB and returned to Prince Albert in 2019.  Christmas of 2022, they went to her sister’s place in Cochin and decided to extend their stay.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Denis; their children, Brandy Leanne (David) Brandolino, their children, Dwayne (Erika Nicholson), Tyler (Beth Ring), Kalynn, and Lindsey; Denis (Amanda) Marcotte and their children, Hayley (Sam Peterson), Denis, and Meagan; Cory (Roxy) Marcotte and their children, Cassandra, Lexi and Denzel; Brent (Sheena) Marcotte and their children, Noah and Madison; Keith (Sara Adamiak) Marcotte; Deanna (Mike) Dawson, and their children, Jason and Brooke; siblings, Eva (Aimé), Corrine (Marcel), Robert (Wendy), Derek (Mel), Raymond (Shirley), Laurette (Leonard), Kevin, and Lawrence; in-laws, Ernie (Denise), Arthur (Kate), Tom (Maryann), Jeanne (Gerald). As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

She is predeceased by her parents, Mary-Jane and Raymond Pilon; infant daughter, Amy Marcotte; infant grandson, Ryan Dawson; brother, Louis Pilon; brother-in-law, Don December; parents-in-law, Antonio and Marguerite Marcotte.  At Sandra’s request no formal service will be held.
