Obituary of Lawrence Calvin Grumbo

On April 29, 2023 at 10:15 PM Lawrence was called home and earned his wings.

Lawrence was born November 26, 1968 in Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. He was the sixth child of nine to Lawrence Grandbois Sr. and Nora Mary Fleury.

Lawrence was a person who was willing to help anyone and it does not matter what the reason was. His door was always open to anyone who needed a hot coffee, meal, warm up, or if someone needed someone to listen to them. Lawrence was a Metis Elder.

He was a person of many trades or Jack of all trades and Master of None. He loved working with his hands, being with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and teaching his son LJ of the Metis way of life. Lawrence also loved working with computers.

Lawrence was a beloved son, father, stepfather, brother, uncle, and grandfather.

Lawrence is predeceased by his parents Lawrence Grandbois and Nora Fleury, his brothers and sisters Victor Grumbo, Raymond Grumbo, Gilles Grumbo, and Preston Bear.

Lawrence leaves to mourn his stepmother April Bear; his brothers and sisters Francis Grumbo (Robin, Jayne, Jenny), Frank Head (Cheryl), Andy Grumbo (Patricia, Jessica, David, Laura, Brittany, Dylan, Trisha, Cameron, Sebastian, Anastasia), Darlene Watts (Tyrese, Eddie), Marie Grumbo (Amanda, Jessica, Daniel, LaTisha, Aaliah, Isaiah, Cherish, Peter, Andrea, Brook-Lyn, Ciara, Sunshine), Gabriel Audet aka Gilbert Grumbo, Amanda Bear (Jacob, Zoey, Mia, Lily, Genny, Anthony), Winona Bear (Mason), Vera-Lynn (Colton, Larissa, Grace), Skylar Bear (Charlie, Avery, Aubree, Cruz); his children Aaron Larry Shiningstar Grumbo (Tylah, Breeah), Ashley Louise Morningstar Grumbo, and Lawrence III Riel River Chimon Grumbo; and his stepchildren Tammy, Ambrose, Sherry, Jason, Nathan, Jeffrey, Avery, Justice and Ember.

He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Wake Service will commence at 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10:00am, both services will be held at the PA Gospel Outreach, 921 Central Ave, Prince Albert.
