Patricia Marlene Anderson

December 16, 1944 – July 8, 2023

With saddened hearts we announce the passing of a special lady in our lives.  Pat leaves to mourn her partner and best friend, Barry Godwin, of Candle Lake, SK, Barry’s children, Susan, Wes, Ruby, Sandra, Terry and families, and her niece, Faith Burr. She will also be missed by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.   

Pat was predeceased by her parents, George and Edith (Ennis) Burr of Melfort, SK; her brother, Douglas Burr; sister-in-law, Sue Burr; nephews, Robert Burr and Dana Burr; stepsons, Kevin and Neil Godwin and her very special canine companion Sandy.

Pat moved to Candle Lake after retiring from a lifelong career in radiology at the Melfort Hospital where she especially enjoyed mentoring young technologists.

Pat embraced family, especially the grandchildren and spoiled them all with love, attention, and thoughtful gifts.  She will always have a huge place in our hearts and memories, the kindness she showed us was beautiful.  She enjoyed life’s small moments and spent many hours on the back patio, taking in the wildlife and beautiful Torch Lake sunsets. She looked forward to company and sharing her joy of cooking, canning, baking and planning for holiday gatherings.  Pat loved to travel, she talked often of her trip to Alaska with Barry, her trip to Hawaii, the road trips to visit Douglas and family at various air force stations, and of driving to California and Vegas with friends. She loved country music and never missed an opportunity to attend a concert with friends and family.   

Pat, we love you and will miss you forever.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, no funeral service will be held, and her ashes will be scattered at Old Baldy, giving her eternal views of Candle Lake.  Please celebrate Pat’s life with your memories.
