So sad to hear of Doug’s passing. Doug and I played football and wrestled at Tech and were good friends for years. Went camping at Emma Lake and had a few beers over the years at the Tech Football lose parties lol. He was a great guy that always had that big smile from ear to ear and when he met is bride because a truly loyal loving partner. We drifted over the years when I moved away but always considered him a great friend left far too young. May God your Dezelda and family with great memories.

Our deepest sympathies to your family on Doug’s passing. May your memories of Doug help you through this troubling time. I have many great memories of Doug through our high school and our first years out of school working at Burns. We had our motorcycle trips to the lake for the weekend with the group, where someone would end up falling off the back of a bike or drive into a ditch along the lake road. Or the number of times we would ride around Central Ave and 1st Ave, popping wheelies and always on the look out for our favourite police officer. Ready to pull the handle bars down to meet the right height level from the seat.
Our thoughts and prayer are with your family.

To remember Doug is to smile. There are many stories I could relate about Doug, and all of them bring a smile and good feelings.
I taught Doug at Prince Albert Technical High School. He and his close friends were always full of antics, but they were just that - antics. When faced with 'the music' there was always a shrug and acceptance, never a sassy remark or any sign of a grudge.
I liked Doug and I liked his commitment to his school and his friends.
Doug always had a big and friendly hello when we met in the years after high school.
I volunteered at the 2002 Canadian Special Olympic Games held in Prince Albert. There I witnessed more 'antics' from Doug Jackow. He was there cheering on and assisting, not only his son who was a great competitor, but everyone: athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators. What a Good Guy!
We will all miss you Doug, and all that you contributed to your family, our city and area.
Morley Harrison.

Dear Desilda,Dallas,Donny,Dean and families. What can I say? I, like so many people loved Doug. He was always kind, helpful, gentle and gracious with everyone. Although it’s been a couple of years since I last saw Doug I thought of him and the plight of your family many times.
We had good times together in “the good ole days “. One thing is for sure, Doug knew he was loved and admired by his family. What more can a man ask for? You can take comfort in how you cared for him for so long and so lovingly.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all who must now accept this reality of life without Doug and the impact of that loss.
Please accept my warmest sympathy
Love. Pauline Stanga
