Obituary of Sharon Lynne Hauser

Sharon Lynne Hauser

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Lynne Hauser.  Sharon passed away on August 6th, 2023, at the age of 77.

She was born in Meadow Lake, SK on June 8th, 1946, to Mildred and Douglas Schliekelman.  Sharon was the youngest of 6 children but had the good fortune to grow up with her 5 siblings and a lot of cousins, some of whom were like an extension of the immediate family.  Sharon lost her father Douglas at a very young age and that meant that her mother had to go out to work to support the family.  This is where Sharon learned her amazing work ethic.  Sharon met the love of her life in her late teens and eventually married Ben Hauser on July 16th, 1966.  Sharon and Ben had two children, Brenda Lee and Derrick James.  They made Meadow Lake, SK their home until 1977, when they moved to Prince Albert, SK.  Sharon loved helping and looking after people, so when her own kids went off to school, she volunteered at the Victoria Hospital and at the Margaret Weathergreen Centre.  Sharon loved the outdoors and could constantly be found out in the yard gardening or helping Ben with some project or other.  They also loved to go fishing and boating and made a home away from home up at Little Amyot Lake, where they enjoyed the majority of their summers later in life.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Lauran) Ewanchyna; her son, Derrick (Sherri) Hauser; her two grandsons, Cooper and Will Hauser; her sisters, Patricia McMillen and Judy (Larry) Galick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Ben Hauser; her mother and father, Mildred, and Douglas Schliekelman; brothers, Carl Schliekelman and Wayne Schliekelman; sister, June Kain; brothers-in-law, Lorne Kain, Murray McMillen; sister-in-law, Donna Schliekelman and mother-in-law, Martha Schafer.

Sharon passed away peacefully in her sleep after everyone that could possibly get here to see her had said their goodbyes.  There will be a private Celebration of Life held at a later date.  Family and friends wishing to send online condolences are welcome to visit www.beaulacfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium, Marianne Turcotte, Funeral Director, Prince Albert, SK 306-763-3322.
