While I know I am family to Pat- I did not have the privilege of meeting all his family - distance is always a factor. But he is my cousin- who I shared lots of laughter with while we grew up- he in Fort Frances and me in Rainy River. Our families always got together several times a year- those were times full of fun and laughter- especially the night they decided to go home in the dark and forgot to turn onto the highway- the whole car load of Bolands ending up in the ditch. My dad, George Parkin- grabbed the tractor and pulled them out. SInce there were no girls in their family- Aunt Eva 'kind of' adopted me and let me spend time there- and gave me a place to stay as I finished my practice teaching in Fort Frances.
To Pat's family- my condolences- may he rest in peace
Georgette (Parkin) Rawlings

Pat was a person who stood out as a very good guy. I only knew him as a card player at the heritage center. He was always jokey and enjoyable to be around. Whenever I should meet him elsewhere he never failed to say hello and speak. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Condolences to family and friends and may Pat rest in peace. He was active in the shooting sports and volunteered to give a test on safety to new gun club members prior to approving them to get a gun club range fob/key. He was always cheerful and although l haven't seen him for awhile l didn't know he was dealing with sickness. Rest in peace my friend.
