Obituary of Gemma "Ann" Lineman

Gemma "Ann" Lineman passed away peacefully on March 16, 2010 in the Big River Health Complex at the age of 66 years. Ann was born on January 20 1944, in Eindhoven Holland. At the age of six, she immigrated to Canada where with her family; she took up residence in Winnipeg. She lived there until she was 20 when she married Melvin Lineman and moved to Lynn Lake. Following this, they moved throughout the four western provinces and the Yukon and NWT. During this period she was enrolled in the Southern Alberta Light horse Militia, she ran for the position of Mayor in Irvine Alberta, She learned to shop for groceries in Nahanni, where groceries were bought every six months, and enjoyed camping so much that she once spent two months camping on a reserve and making jams. They finally returned to Big River in 2002 where they have lived until present. Anne enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going to auctions, singing in the community choir, canning, gardening and watching the birds from her kitchen table. Ann leaves to cherish her memory: Her loving husband Melvin of Big River, SK. Her Children: Paula (Clint) Wakely of Fort Nelson, BC; Maurice (Seo Jungson) Lineman of Pusan, South Korea and Richard Lineman of Big River, SK. Her grandchildren: Cristopher (Corinne) and their son Ryan; Michael (Sara) and their daughter Madison; Danny and Leanne and Kyle. Her brothers: John (Carol) Dellevoet of Toronto, ON and Cornelius "CJ" Dellevoet of Winnipeg, MB as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives & friend. She was predeceased by her parents Lanbertus & Paula Dellevoet. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, March 20th, 2010 at 3:00 pm from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church in Big River, Saskatchewan with Rev. Fr. Bernabe Millan Sajonas as Celebrant. Gary Doetzel gave the eulogy. Laura Wilson was the organist. Music was led by the Big River Community Choir. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
