Obituary of Daniel William Peter Holuk
HOLUK - Daniel William Peter “Dan” of Prince Albert, SK, passed peacefully on October 11, 2023, at the age of 76 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK.
Dan was born on November 7,1946 in Prince Albert, SK. The family lived in Ens, SK for about 9 years before moving back to Prince Albert, SK. After high school he attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated with a degree in pharmacy. Dan worked at several pharmacies in Prince Albert, and it was at Grays Pharmacy where he met his future wife, Beverly Prychak. They were married on September 2, 1972. After living in Prince Albert, SK for a few years, the family moved to Grand Prairie, AB where Danny realized his dream of owning a private music business. Dan started his passion in audio in the 60’s as a hobby which turned into a business in the early 70’s. Upon returning to Prince Albert, SK, he returned to his profession as a pharmacist and continued his private business named “Sound Shapers”. Dan absolutely loved his music and in the 70’s he was proud to be a member of a popular rock band.
Dan had a long and rewarding career as a pharmacist retiring from the profession in 2021.
The last few years he could be found on any of the numerous golf courses in the area with his daughter and sometimes his wife or close friends. His golfing tips were always welcome.
Danny’s life was dedicated to Our Lord, and he touched the lives of all who crossed his path. Rest in peace, Dan, we miss you, we love you and we know that life will never be quite the same – without you.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Dan is his wife, Beverly; his daughter Rachel; his sister Donna (Marcelino "Sparky") Castillo of Roanoke, Va.; his brother-in-law Roger Prychak (Florence) of Saskatoon, SK; his sister-in-law Darlene Prychak of Saskatoon,SK; his niece Karry Dawson (Bruce); his nephews Shilo Prychak and Micheal Prychak (Colleen); two special ladies, Aunt Helen Hawryluk of Prince Albert, SK and Aunt Grace LeGatt of Edmonton, AB; many great nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and church family.
Dan joins in eternal peace, his parents Kay (nee Hawryluk) (2000) and Joseph Holuk (1980); his baby "sista" Patricia Grace Holuk (2019); his grandparents; his in-laws, Ruth and Mike Prychak; his brother-in-law Lloyd Prychak; many aunts, uncles, cousins and great nephews on both Holuk and Hawryluk families.
A Celebration of Life for Dan will be held at a later date.
