Obituary of Brian Adlard Blair

Brian Adlard Blair passed away peacefully in Prince Albert with family by his side on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the age of 59. Brian was born in Nipawin, SK, pm April 4, 1964, to parents Adlard and Doreen Blair of Choicleand, SK. Brian was born with Down Syndrome and some medical challenges, but he thrived and had a beautiful full life. He attended school at Choiceland Elementary and Whitefox School and later some private tutoring which he loved. He always had a book and a pen in his hand. He was raised on the farm with his siblings, James and Michelle. He participated in all daily farm chores and was a great helper to his mom around the household. He loved to make people happy and his smile was a winner. He moved to Prince Albert in February of 2004 to live with his sister and her family. Brian was a special caregiver to his nieces and became a big brother to them instead of an uncle. He attended Kin Enterprises for many years and never wanted to miss a day of work for any reason. Brian was an avid bowler at Minto Bowl, racking up many trophies and showing off his fantastic score cards to his nieces. Brian loved to attend Kin parties and wow what a dancer! His smile and his love touched the hearts of anyone who met him. In February of 2019 advancing Alzheimer's type dementia required him to move to Mont St Joseph Home. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Adlard and Doreen Blair, his grandparents, his nephew, Ethan Novotny, and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his brother, James Blair (Donna Miller); sister, Michelle Blair (Darcy Novotny); his nieces, Chelsea, Tanya and Logan Tatlow and Amanda Novotny. Brian will be laid to rest at the Garrick, SK Cemetery, beside his parents. A Private Family Service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023.
