Obituary of Oliver Boyer
Oliver Joseph Boyer was born to Therese and Octave Boyer on December 22, 1951, in Prince Albert, SK. He gained his wings on Thursday November 9th, 2023, at the age of 71. Oliver attended school in Prince Albert, SK, and St. Louis, SK.
During his years in St. Louis, he met Sheila Grayson. They would spend their life together and be blessed with four children, Michelle, Michael, Matthew, and Melanie. On August 20th, 2016, they were married in front of friends and family in Prince Albert, SK.
Oliver had many passions in life. Spending time with his family and friends brought him the most joy. He enjoyed his yearly camping trips and loved fishing, playing cards around the table, listening to Elvis and country music, cooking meals for his family, getting the house ready for Christmas, and his adventures on the backroads. He had a love for life. He was a kindhearted man who wouldn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and Sheila the love of his life.
Oliver will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sheila; children, Michelle (Gavin), Michael, Matthew (Roxanne), Melanie (Wendall); grandchildren, Denisha, Dylan, Serrenity, Kayden, Isabella, Christopher, Carter, Zethryn, and Zachery; siblings, Frances (Jake Palmer), Barbara, Elmer, Roseanne, Gary (Brenda), and Debbie; brothers and sisters in-law, Allan (Laurel), Gordon (Rowena), Pauline (Bob), Cathy (Blaine), Elsie (Edward), Mary (Curtis), and Andy; godchildren, Jody and Kristy; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Oliver was predeceased by his parents, Therese and Octave Boyer, daughter, Jacqueline (in infancy); brother, Wilfred; brother-in-law, Lenard Regnier; sister-in-law, Brenda Lee (in infancy); mother and father in-law, Thelma and Andrew Grayson; niece, Danielle Nyland.
A Public Viewing was held on Monday November 14th, 2023, 1:00-3:00 pm, at Beau “Lac” Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel, 300B – 300 Marquis Road West, Prince Albert, SK.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday November 21st, 2023, at 10:30 am, St. Louis Roman Catholic Parish, 343 3rd St, St. Louis, SK. An Interment will be held at a later date. The family asks that attendees dress casually and comfortably, as this is what Oliver would have wanted.
Oliver’s family would like to extend a special thankyou to the doctors and nurses at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK, for taking such good care of ‘Dad’.
