Obituary of Wei Ming Huang

It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Wei Ming Huang, better known as Ming, He passed away Thursday November 9, 2023 at the age of 73 years. A celebration of his life was held Sunday November 19, 2023 at the Spiritwood Civic Center officiated by Delores Beaulac.  Ming leaves to cherish his memory his wife Nancy and his sons Kevin and Ken, as well as other relatives. Ming was born in the Canton province of China.  In 1981, he immigrated to Canada, worked hard and was able to bring Nancy to Canada. They were married August 22, 1984.  It was halloween of 1989 when Ming decided to spread his wings and move to a small town called Spiritwood. Here he and Nancy opened a restaurant  business, set roots and  raised his family here. Every morning, he would put on a pot of coffee and enjoy the company of his friends. He taught his boys to work hard. He told them to work hard for something bigger than yourself, a better future for your family or a friend in need.  He told them to treasure their friendships as these were the people who would help shape them and be there in good times and bad.   Ming cooked lots and no one went home hungry. He loved to play cards, especially poker. Mings family and the community of Spiritwood will miss him very much.  In lieu of other tributes, donations in memory of Ming may be made to the Idylwild Lodge Auxiliary.
