To Margaret, Russell and Reid, we send our most sincere condolences. For sure, this world is a better place because of Al. We remember him fondly for his kindness, sense of humour, generosity and hardworking nature. We have such good memories of you all when we lived in Meadow Lake. He sure loved a good hockey game, didn’t he?!! We hope it brings you comfort to know that we are thinking of you and will never forget him.

I was very saddened to hear of Allan's passing. I have so many great memories of him, but my favorite is the many, many games of cribbage we played and all the coffee we drank! My deepest condolences to the Martin family.

I worked with Allan at different times at PA Pulpwood and later I worked for him at Mistic Management. He always was good to work with/for, interested in doing a good job and getting it done. He never received much recognition for his efforts to make sure the local people had a chance to participate in work/contract opportunities in local forestry operations. His entire life was centered in northwest Sask. and he knew and respected a significant percentage of the population of Northwest Sask.

Allan was such a great brother in law, a dedicated family man, avid baseball fan and a fierce card playing competitor. I’ll miss his big infectious smile (especially when you knew you were soon to be the brunt of his teasing ways!) and the wonderful trips to Cree Lake. Till we meet again Allan, rest in peace.

I have many many fond memories of uncle Allan but one that still makes me giggle to this day is when I was there babysitting the boys and Auntie Margaret asked me to make chili for supper. She didn't have the regular chili spice but had the dried chili peppers. She didn't tell me I didn't need much so I spiced it up like I would have with regular chili spice. Not one of us could eat it except uncle Allan. He ate his whole plate and never said a word lol. I could tell it was a bit painful to eat but he ate it lol. We are going to miss you deeply!!!
