Obituary of Lemar Andrew Soyland

It is with great sadness that the family of Lemar Soyland announce his passing on January 26th, 2024. Lemar was born 1931, in Weldon, SK. He married Grace Knox in 1954. Together they raised their family on a farm in the Brancepeth, SK area. Lemar was a farmer and he enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with family.

Lemar is survived by his children, Joanne (Pat) Springinotic, Patti (Sam) Roozendaal, Karen (Nigel) Charmichael, Mark Hansen (Jon Gray), Kathy (Trevor) Harper, and Michael ‘Mitch’ Soyland (Heather); son-in-law, Rick Matte; siblings, Eileen Ek, Norman Soyland, Marlin Olson, and Lorraine Hadland; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his dear wife, Grace; parents, Emil and Mabel Soyland; children, Douglas Soyland and Lynn Matte; and brother-in-law, William Knox.

In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made in Lemar’s memory to a charity of choice.

A private service was held on January 30th, 2024 at Beau “Lac” Funeral Home Chapel, Prince Albert, SK.
